Shawn Siers

Shawn Siers works with the EPS forensic and investigation teams as an investigator and project manager. Shawn is the founder of Elite Paralegal Services (“EPS”). EPS is certified by OMWBE as a Woman Business Enterprise. She is a seasoned litigation and trial paralegal has served as a pivotal trial support lead, and strategist. She possesses a robust background in civil rights and litigation, having conducted hundreds of witness interviews for both civil pre-litigation and litigation cases, particularly those involving civil rights violations for plaintiffs and defendants. Shawn’s investigative work encompasses a wide range of discrimination cases, including those related to race, sex, age, disability, pregnancy, and sexual orientation. Additionally, she has investigated issues such as hostile work environments, bullying in schools and workplaces, threats of violence, harassment, retaliation, grievances regarding promotions and demotions, reverse discrimination, wrongful termination, salary withholding based on sex, and whistleblowing. Shawn was the investigator and trial paralegal in notable plaintiff cases: Perry v. Costco and Bradley, et. al v. City of Everett. Shawn has worked with ESI project management, including, providing ECA strategy, as well as identification, forensic collection, and preservation for over 20 years. She was formerly a Certified E-Discovery Specialist. In her prior role as a Paralegal Manager, she managed a team of 10 paralegals and provided mentorship, coaching, training, and implemented best practices.

Kirk Carter and K2 Discovery

Kirk Carter is an expert witness and CEO of K2 Discovery. K2 Discovery is an industry leader in forensic collections and e-discovery. K2 Discovery works with EPS and its clients to forensically collect, analyze, and report on electronically stored information from cell phones, personal computers, local or cloud-based email, networks, servers, hosted data repositories, and social networking sites. K2 has a team of digital forensic experts who can collect and analyze cellphones, computers, and tablets with a comprehensive chain of custody documentation and tailored deliverables. The K2 team are EnCase Certified Examiners (EnCE) and  Cellebrite certified experts who and are equipped with the tools and experience to ensure forensically-sound deliverable and serve as guides through the collection process. 

Rachel Anyan

Rachel Anyan works with the EPS forensic and investigation teams as an investigator and consultant. She is a licensed attorney in Washington. She attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, graduating cum laude in 2015. Rachel has over 11 years of experience in litigation and trial support. She has prepared for and attended over twenty trials. She has conducted countless interviews and investigations on several hundred pre-litigation and litigation cases on behalf of defense firms and Plaintiff firms. Leveraging that experience, she assists with workplace investigations, document reviews, and productions. Rachel has an eye for detail and her experience as a litigator is helpful in identifying potential issues related to liability while conducting investigations and reviewing ESI.

Sabrina Steinback, MS, HRM, SPHR

Sabrina Steinback works with the EPS investigation teams as an investigator and consultant. Sabrina is Human Resources professional currently serving as the CEO of HRx Professional Consulting. HRx is certfied by OMWBE as a Minority/Woman Business Enterprise. Her profound expertise in HR Management has been meticulously honed through tenures at esteemed organizations. In addition, she has provided invaluable guidance to small enterprises across a diverse spectrum of industries, including, healthcare, government, non-profit, manufacturing, construction, automotive, wholesale foods, real estate, and retail. Sabrina provides an encompassing and diverse array of services such as employee relations, management coaching, organizational development, and HR compliance training.

Elizabeth Sweet

Elizabeth Sweet works with EPS as an Independent Contractor investigator and consultant. Elizabeth is a Washington state attorney. She owns Sweet Justice, PS, is certified by OMWBE as a Women Business Enterprise and self-certified veteran-owned business. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University School of Law) in December 1993 and was admitted to the Washington Bar in May 1994. Upon graduation, Elizabeth became a United States Army Judge Advocate and served as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Since then, Elizabeth has served as a civil litigator focused on breach of contract disputes. Her experience includes litigating employment disputes covering Washington’s Law Against Discrimination (WLAD), wrongful termination, retaliation, the Family Medical Leave Act, and breach of employment contracts. Elizabeth has over 30 years of first-chair litigation experience before both state and federal courts. As such, Elizabeth has extensive experience conducting investigations and performing witness interviews and depositions.

Reba Weiss

Reba Weiss works with EPS as a consultant. Reba is a Washington state attorney. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1976. She attended the University of Oregon School of Law, graduating in 1982. Reba has worked primarily as a trial lawyer in the labor and employment field. Her positions have included time as an associate at two leading employment law firms in Seattle, practicing as a sole practitioner and a 3-year stint in the City of Seattle’s Employment Law Department. Reba is a frequent speaker at employment law training seminars and is a recognized subject matter expert in several fields of employment law, including the Family Medical Leave Act and disability discrimination law. Reba currently serves in an Of Counsel role for a well-known labor and employment law firm since 2007. In addition to taking the lead role in discipline representation and other litigation, Reba has an active Employment Law Practice, representing clients in a wide variety of employment discrimination cases, including disability, gender, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) cases. Reba also handles cases involving wage and hour issues, unpaid commissions and negotiating severance agreements. Reba has conducted countless investigations and witness interviews over the course of her extensive career.
